Freddie Sailema Just D-Top was titled today at South Canterbury Show with a Best of Breed win. Many thanks to Stephanie Maslin for all her hard work and excellent presentation of this dog!

Been a busy August with puppies going to their new homes!!!! Good luck every one!!!
Also managed oen dog show weekend and Rider won 4 DCC, 2 Best of Breed and 1 Reserve of Breed to win his Championship Title. Bliss did very well and won 2 Best of Breed and Puppy of Group. Judge: Julie Dickinson-Franks (NSW) Wellington Ladies Kennel Assoc. Sat 20th August. Her first show at just 9 months after having not been in a shown for over 3 months. Well we had a big dump of snow at the beach. Snow right to the sea. It never snows at the beach!!! Its the most I have ever seen while living in Christchurch. Also the dogs. They went crazy biting and playing in the snow. They have 2 coats on to keep warm. Got down to minus 2C last night and a huge frost this morning. See photo gallery.
Puppies 3 weeks old . Microchipped and DNA tested. They are growing real fast. Daisy has been a perfect mum keeping them all clean and tidy!!! June July
Have not been up to much to shaken with all the earthquakes. The house is really munted now!!!!!! "Rider" Birchlands Crown Crusader qualifies for the Proplan Supreme Puppy of the year Awards for 2010 on the 2nd July. South Island. 40 puppies were eligible 25 enteries on the day. "Rider" was handled expertly by Jayne Hamilton. He won his heats and then the next round to the quarter finals. Our first ever Supreme Puppy competition. Well done Jayne for a fantastic handling job. "Daisy" Abbotsgate Venetia (Imp Aust) whelped on the 3rd July producing 4 bitches and 2 dogs. Sire"Buddy" CH Careve Crumpys Man Dylan's settled in and is back to his naughty ways!!!!! Fantastic news Dylan (NZCH Sailema Royal Status) gains his final Australian Champion Title points with a Best Of Group & Open Of Group win at Temora kennel Club on the 14th May. He also won Best of Breed the next day as well.. This was Dylan's first show for months and he was just entered in the Open Class. Dylan was also short listed for Best In Show. What a day!!!!. Our first Dual Champion ever at Sailema kennels. Well done Trish Blamire for her excellent presentation and handling of Dylan. We look forward to his return to NZ very soon.
Bliss (Birchlands Royalty at Sailema) has been shown occasionally and won 4 x Baby Puppy of Group and 2 x Baby Puppy in Show. Arrow wins Intermediate in Show at the Auckland Spaniel Show. Rider (Birchlands Crown Crusader) wins the following annual awards of year awards: The Gundog Society Puppy of the Year,2010 Southern Gundog Society Puppy of the Year 2010 He has also qualified for the PoPlan Annual Puppy of the Year Awards 2010 many thanks to Mark Lawerence and Jane Hamilton for handling this wonderful dog while Amelia is away. Feb , March News. We survived the Christchruch Earthquake on the 22nd Feb.The house took a hiding but its still standing. We had 12 dyas without power and water. We still have no sewage and as the power comes from a generator running the local sub station so we still have power cuts. The dogs are a bit stressed and more mental than ever. Thanks to Mark and Catherine for showing Rider at this stressful time.

Horowhenua BOB and Jnor of GroupCC Canterbury Ladies: ROG, BOB, Jnr of Group North Otago: BOB, Jnr of Group Bliss Birchlands Royalty at Sailema had her first show at teh CLKA and we were very pleased with her first 2 shows. Show 2 Reserve BCC and Baby Puppy of Breed Arrows son Birchlands Crown Choice wins 2 x DCC, BOB , 2x Puppy of group in his first 2 shows in Adelaide Australia.
